Hi everyone, just a quick note to say that turbo sessions will be starting again on TUESDAY 19th October. From thereon in, sessions will be every Tuesday up to and including 29th March, the only exception being a two week gap over the Christmas period – see attached program for full details (TURBO10-11)
The Chute Pavilion at Sherborne St John has been booked from 19:00 til 20:30, so please try to arrive promptly in order that we can start the session at 19:15 sharp. If you are unsure of the location, a map can be found here and the post code is RG24 9HX). Changing and shower facilities are available on-site.
As a quick reminder and for those that have not attended turbo before, you will need to bring the following with you:-
– Turbo Trainer or rollers
– Cycling shoes
– Heart rate monitor
– Bike computer (cadence sensor is great if you have one, but not essential)
– Turbo schedule
– A drink
– Towel to catch/mop the sweat from your bike during the session
The attached program is updated with all the sessions, dates etc. Please enter your Minimum/Maximum heart rate on the ‘Index’ page, print the entire workbook and remember to bring it with you every week. If you don’t know your maximum heart rate, use the 220 minus your age rule in the short term (Max HR test is scheduled, 2nd November 🙂 ).
Cost: Pricing remains unchanged from last year with a preferential rate for Basingstoke Tri Squad members, though anyone is welcome.
Members: £15 for all sessions (avg 68p per session!)
Non-members: £25 for all sessions
Per session: £2 (members and non-members)
